Dont leave the last 4 gems which is beside the spikes

Also you need to run continuously and not stop during the stages of train of spikes and spikedballs

If you forgot to collect gems and taken checkpoint then you can go back to collect them as I have make a return path to it :)
These gems you will found where there is lying door on the red floor beside the spiky things
