If you frequently hang out with me and then leave me for someone new, I’m gonna automatically assume you were only “friends” with me because you didn’t have anyone else. If you still stay in contact and communicate with me I would still consider you like me but if you just ignore my presence then I’ll do the same. Because there’s no way we told each other diabolical secrets, went on shopping sprees, etc and then you just leave me. Why am I suddenly “two-faced” as soon you replace me with someone 10x better?
